Default Civic bogging when in gear at +3000 rpms

Ok, so last night as i was driving home, i cant of mashed on the car getting on the highway. was probably in 2nd gear at like 4-5k rpms. then i noticed my car started to bog when i would go in any gear higher then 3-3.5k rpms. It only happens when the car is in gear. when in neutral and i rev, it revs normal with no bogging. the car idles fine and everything. just bogs at +3-4k. Maybe my timing belt jumped a tooth? idk any help would be great.

Also, i have a mini-me setup. The timing belt doesnt have that plastic cap covering it. None on top or bottom. Which ones would i need in order to time the car right. Cause you need the plastic to set the timing correct.

Tune up recently?

I used both to line up the cam gear for timing...

Is the CEL on? Have you inspected the plugs, cap, and rotor?

Seriously, install the timing belt covers! In the meantime, pull out plug #1 and stick a straw down into the cylinder to determine TDC1 while turning the crank pulley counterclock wise.

CEL is not on. Plugs are newish but are for a 1.5(does it matter, car was running good before this), dizzy is brand new. what timing belt cover should i use. the 1.5 or the 1.6. since i have a mini me.

I learned early on from mk378 to follow up by asking whether the CEL works.

CEL does work. I know for sure. I am using a P28 timing belt. Does anyone know what timing belt cover I should use to put on the car and use to set timing. I know the diagram you posted
Is to set it without the cover, but I just want to know what belt cover to put on there for further timing belt set situations.

I think the covers are the same for either head. Certainly the bottom one will be the same. You could go to hondaautomotiveparts and see if they cross to the same number.

Like Ron said, just probe in cylinder #1 to put the crank on TDC. Then check the marks on the cam pulley, the two slash marks should match the top of the head.

do i have a d15b7 cam gear. or do i have a d16z6 one. i have a mini me d15b7 bottom, d16z6 head. and do i take out the spark plug?
and on majestic honda, they have 2 different parts number for the bottom timing belt cover. ex part#102613 while the lx is part# 102611.

i say about because there like milimeters where i move the crank pulley and the straw doesnt move up or down. i notice that the little slash on the left (looking at it dead on) is slighty lower then the top of the block. do i slip the belt off the top, rotate the the pulley so that its even, and then slip back on the timing belt?

Picture is real blurry but it does look like you might be a tooth off. If a belt has skipped, you really should replace it with a new one rather than try to reset it. The tensioner bolt must be TIGHT after setting the tension or it will move on you.

You have a 1.5 liter block, so use the LX type bottom cover.
