Question Civic Idles Low and Shakes

My 1995 Honda Civic has always idled low at times, but now, it idles low and shakes like crazy whenever I am stopped and in gear or in neutral, but moreso when I'm in gear (VERY frustrating ). If I gently touch the gas, it stops shaking. It's done this for about a month, maybe a little less. It does it about half the time. There is no muffler on the car, so I don't know if that has anything to do with it.. though my muffler has been gone far longer than what it has been shaking for. Also, my starter is going out, if that helps form a diagnosis..

It could be a bad motor mount, spark plug wire, spark plug, clogged catalytic converter, etc.

Clean the IACV.

Replace the starter before you get stranded. It doesn't have anything to do with idle speed though.

open up the throttle plate "butter fly" take some sensor safe throttle body cleaner and a rag and clean the sh#* out of it. on our cars we have oil that is reticulated through the intake at times as a vent for the motor from the pressure built inside it. If that doesn't do the trick try adjusting the idle screw on said throttle body.
