Default Civic SI (2000+) vs Jaguar X-Type 2.5L

I have around 10-15k for a used civic si with mods and such and was wondering what kind of setup would get me an assured win vs a jag x-type 2.5 (assuming the civic user knows how to handle and shift really well)

Well, depending on which generation of Si you're starting with, there can be different approaches. For 10-15k, you can do a LOT (assuming you already have the car???). Think intake, turbo, full exhaust, and a built engine. That would definitely do the trick.

Are you in the UK? Just curious because of the Jaguar question. If you are, your money will go even further.

if u want a beast, just get a crx or an eg to save money, then turbo and build the motor. you'll be good.

damn dude u got 10-15k to spend ALL on a car? u could go very far with that. You could get an early 90's civic. replace the engine with like an accord v6 engine... turbo that and get headers, full exhaust, intake, high flow cat, change all the little things.... wow that could kill
