Default Civic sunroof stuck

Hi everyone. I recently had my 97 Civic stolen, I was able to get it back today, but it now has a problem that I can't figure out. The thief apparently opened my sunroof, and now I can't get it closed. It slid all the way forward when I first tried, but it wouldnt lower into the proper position. I can hear the motor for it engaging once every thirty seconds or so, even when none of the controls for it are being pressed, but now it will not move an inch in any direction. I just spent a bundle on getting the steering column and window fixed, not to mention the impound fees, and I really don't want to have to pay a mechanic for this. Does anyone have any information that can help me? Thanks.

Don't tell me you had no alarm system installed. If not, I'm sure you made up for not buying one with all the repairs you are doing. You may need to get ahold of a service or assembly manual. You may also get lucky by asking the Honda dealership parts guy to print you out a page that shows the exploded view of the sunroof.
