Default "Clanking" noise when shifting 98 auto

Hey guys the civic was running good all summer till recently when i put the car between park/neutral/reverse/drive it makes a clanking noise. At first it wasnt very loud so i didnt really think it was much of it but now im gonna bring it to a garage tommorow and was wondering if anyone had any ideas? Thanks

BTW its a 1998 Civic Si(Canadian, i think EX in the states), auto with 85000km

is it a constant "clanking while driving or only when you change the gear.

If you find out let me know mine does the same thing. If it's the same noise it only happens when you go from reverse to drive or vise versa(car not moving). I'm guessing a bad transmission mount but I haven't investigated it further.

I had a similar problem. It was the bolts for transmission mount that were loose.

I hate to resurrect a dead thread but I finally got rid of the noise in mine... it was the upper ball joint on the passenger side. There was enough slack in it that it was making the clunk, bad control arm bushings weren't helping either.
