Code 73O?Help!

How bad is a code PO73O/incorrect gear ratio? Will I have to get the tranny rebuilt?Any suggestions?

Is the transmission fluid low? If so, fill to specified level to see whether code goes away.

If the fluid level is fine, the fix may range from replacement of the shift solenoid assembly to repair of the hydraulic system or replacement of the transmission.
