cold air intake question
Google.com
One places the filter in the engine bay (short ram), and the other puts the filter in the wheel well.
Air in the wheel well (under the car etc) is colder/denser than the air in the engine bay. the denser the air, the more power you can potentially get. However, you will get maybe 1 extra hp (if that) with a cold air intake compared to the short ram. Also, the cold air intake set-up runs into issues if you hit deep water puddles. Submerge that filter in water and kiss your motor good bye basically.
