Im looking into a 98 civic EX that has 111,000 miles on it as of now and was wondering what you guys have encountered as problems at this high mileage. Please post any reparirs of what you have done. (water pump, timing belt, brakes, struts, berrings, ect) Thanks for the help

RE: common problems after 100k miles
if these things havent been changed before you will probably need to do berrings soon as well as the timing belt... i forget what mi honda recomends the timing belt be replacesd at but some of the other things can be cv axels ball joints ect.... i have a 91 hatch w/ 200k on it and ive done the front berrings and am soon going to have to do the ball joints these are all common problems when you get into the high miles
good luck w/ the civic man ive had mine for about 2 months and i love it

RE: common problems after 100k miles
I bought mine from the original owner at 152 K. I've had it for about 8k miles now, and still no problems. She had previously replaced the timing belt and the motor in the driver's side window. Other than that, nothing has been done to it with the exception of the oil changes and tires. The car runs great and shows no sign so far of any problems. Go Honda!
