I am somewhat unfamiliar with Hondas, so please bear with me. My wife's '02 civic lx has an a/c problem. When the compressor cycles, both cooling fans stop and start. when engine temp comes up enough for cooling fan to run, a/c works fine, also at speed, a/c works fine. My question is simply, should the condenser fan run constantly whether the compressor is cycled on or off ? Thank you for any suggestions

 

Both fans should run when the compressor is engaged, then shut off when it disengages. Usually they'll turn on and off quite frequently unless it's really hot out.
