Default COOLANT LEAK

Hey everyone, I have a stock 98 EX (150k)with a coolant leak. I can't see anything leaking while it is running. When I turn it off and let it sit, there will be a tiny puddle just under the left side of the engine. I can't see any coolant leaking from any hoses, or on the top anywhere. I had the water pump replaced at 90k. Can I just remove the upper timing cover to inspect the water pump? When a water pump goes bad where does the weephole drop the coolant? How many coolant lines run underneath the engine?

Thanks for the info, I'll check those places. If my water pump was bad, how would I know, since it is concealed by the timing cover?
