COOLANT levels DROPPING!!
I recently bought this 96 LX civic and I thought I would baby it,, so it can last. I went to synthetic, for the past 3 week I've been using high premium gas, replaced timing belt and water pump, and replaced spark plugs.. But..
Last weekend I checked my coolant levels and it had just a touch in the reservoir but the rad was full. I filled it in between the min and max and again this morning I noticed it dropped a bit of coolant..
so wtf is the problem
thanx !!! any help please!!!

RE: COOLANT levels DROPPING!!
first of all, check for leaks on/around the radiator/fins andcheck for leaks on/around the hoses. that'll be ur first clear sign that ur leaking and u'll kno where and what to fix. one of the reasons that the coolant level may have been low after u filled it is because it drops when the engine has sat for a while and cooled down. try checking the level after u have driven around for a lil while and know that the radiator fan has turned out a couple times.

If the coolant is dropping that fast consistently, it should be easy to find the leak. Run the engine and look for the leak in and around the engine. If nothing, check the passenger side floor. If the floor is wet, you have a bad heater core that's leaking coolant. If still nothing, check if there's excessive steam/dripping coming out of the muffler. This would be bad.

Is the coolant only disappearing from the resevoir, or is the level of the Radiator dropping as well?
In order to find the leak, you'll have to run the car until it's up to normal operating temperature before you'll be able to check all connections, hoses, etc
