Default Coolant reservoir and radiator caps

Hello guys, I have an 2001 civic 1.7 standard, the other day I was driving to work (it’s about 100km) and near my destination the coolant reservoir cap just came off for some reason and the car was overheating (fans were going crazy)! I didn’t lose any coolant from the tank. I’ve replaced the cap and noticed that the radiator cap is somewhat broken (on the inside, the spring came off) and some smoke/slimy stuff was coming out from there! If I replace that cap (radiator) will that be the end of my issue? Or can my radiator be clogged and I’ll have to replace it?

Thanks
