Default Could you help ID the noise?

I've noticed my 08 Civic making achattering noise. I notice it at low speeds and it sounds like it's coming from front and rear.Could it be a bad strut or shock? Also, when stopped and I move the steering wheel slightly, there is a clicking noise.

Thanks

i'm not sure why you are asking us to help you with an '08 civic. take it to the dealer and have them deal with it. it's fully covered in the bumper to bumper warranty. milk the bumper to bumper as much as you can. no point in trying to solve it yourself. if you can take a test drive with the tech in your car and show him, that would be even better.

Dealer stated that it's the sound that the boots make while breaking in and it'll last the first 15,000 miles.

Never heard of anything like that before in my life.... That sounds like this one time when i went to test drive an Oddesy with my mom and the car pulled heavily to the right at around 50mph +. The salesperson told us it was a new safety feature that pulled cars off the road if the driver fell asleep.

that sounds really odd to me. There is no such thing as a 15,000 break in period. maybe this is some new technology they are using but that sounds like a very long time. Maybe he meant to say 1500 miles.

There's no such thing as breaking in a CV boot.

If it has electric power steering, the clicking may be normal for that system.

The other noise, try to localize it more by having someone stand outside the car and listen while you drive past them.

Way back in the 1990 when I bought a brand new Accord, the driver side CV joint went bad around 8000 miles. This was same problem with sister's, mom's, and my neighbor's car. They were all 1990 Accords with the same problem.

I would take your car to a different dealer. I doubt it you have a problem with the CV boots.
