Default Crank Shaft

I'm having trouble getting my crank shaft pulley bolt off.
Which wayis it: lefty loose, righty tighty OR lefty tighty, righty loosey?
And what are the torque ft lb for that bolt?
Also I know it would be easier with a impact wrench, but I don't have one.

Also how can I hold the pulley so it does not turn when I'm wrenching on it?

Never removed it but I know its righty loosey and I've heard that you can jam a screwdriver in there to try to hold it.

Sorry nm, I think that is the cam pulley. Like I said I've never replaced any of those. Check out this thread: https://www.hondacivicforum.com/m_418250/tm.htm

Yeah keep in mind that some bolts can be a huge pain to loosen. Especially if they have never been removed since the car was built (depending on how old your car is) I'm not sure if you read the one thread I posted but it was a nightmare trying to get my oil pan bolt out.

I'm guessing your putting on an aftermarket AEM crank/underdrive pulley?

No not yet. I just gotta change the water pump and timing belt. I'd be done already if it weren't for that pulley.

Go rent the tool from Autozone, and get yourself a breaker bar.


Or, hit up Harbor Freight (if you have one locally, if not get online) and order one of their electric impacts. I just snatched one up not too long ago, and it spun that bolt off within 3 seconds
