Current specs for injectors?
Hi,
I have a 97 Civic DX that doesn't want to run that I'm currently troubleshooting. I have good fuel pressure to the rail but I haven't been able to get fuel to squirt out of the injectors. Would you happen to know how to test and/or the amount of current I should be reading across the two leads of the injector plugs? Thanks!
Matt

Unplug an injector. Unbend the little wires on a #194 light bulb and push them into the plug. Crank the engine, bulb should flash. If not, the ECU is not even trying to drive the injectors. Check that you have 12 volts on one wire of the injector with the key on (I think this will happen even if the engine is not rotating). The ECU drives the other wire to ground to open it.
Injectors themselves should have a few ohms resistance. The exact amount is not that critical. It would be very unlikely for all 4 to be bad (though with even one bad, the engine can be very reluctant to start).
Make sure that your distributor rotates when you crank. If not you will have no fuel injector drive and no spark.
