Default CV Question

Hi all....New owner here of a '98 DX coupe. I've been reading up on here regarding CV axle/boot replacement. My '98 has a periodic clicking/tapping only when turning left. However, it doesn't do it more than it does do it....if that makes sense. My question: If the boot or axle is on the fritz, is it going to do it every time or can it be intermittent? I changed the oil in it Monday and didn't notice any issues with the boots.

Thanks!

if it clicks, its easiest to change the axle. and ive heard that you can prevent breaking the boot by not popping the clutch while turning

I would find out which axle is causing the clicking and replace it. The boot does not have to be torn for the axle to be bad. It could have had a boot replaced before, and now the axle is worn out. Good luck, Jason.
