I just bought a OBD2 scan tool cause my Check Engine light is on. My Civic is a 1999 EX. Where is the data link connector located? I'm hoping its not the green thing on the lower right of the driver seat because the scan tool cable can't connect to that.

 

The picture should help. The DLC connector is visible under the dash on the far left side.

Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank 1)

 

You either need to replace your catalytic converter or you have an exhaust leak (see picture).
