Default Dead CD Player

So i had a cd player in the car, and some tweeters sat on the dash that i was sure wernt hooked up, i began following wires, long story short.
I was taking the head unit out, which has its own fuse box thing on the back off some wires, it was caught i ended up yanking on it a bit too hard and two or three wires came loose of the harness that goes into the back of the stereo.
I blew the fuse in the back of the cd player, so i replaced that and turns out the radio is dead, nevermind. i have a sweet one in the uk which im going to pickup this weekend, so my friend had a radio he wanted to test out, i let him test it in my car, DEAD, nothing, checked fuses again, this time i checked EVERY fuse not just the one that said it was for the radio, so we thought ok maybe its a duff one, he checked it out in another car and it worked
So now there must be something wrong with the wiring in my car, before i started taking the dash appart and following wires around with a test bulb, i wanted to ask you guys is there anything that it could be? without having to test all the wires... like any idea of which wire it is likely to be.
The ones that got pulled out of the back of the headunit where ignition constant and ground if i remember well, and they were pulled out after the little fuse box...

Thanks in advance and sorry for the long post

There's a fuse under the hood labeled "BACKUP"; that one is the constant +12 for the radio.

thanks for the heads up mk378, none of the fuses were labeled though, but i used the tried and proven method of pulling every one until i found the blown one, if this ever happens to anyone else it is the 7.5amp fuse, i think its a dark orange one.

Thanks again mk378 i can now have music again as im going to drive 1000km this friday(save me ALOT of time)

Yep its the 7.5 brown fuse on the left top side of the fuse box under the hood on the left side of the engine bay.
