Dead Cylinder
Just bought a 91 civic, and cylinder number 2 has no compression. Put sum oil in it, no change, still only 30 psi.
I was thinking stuck/burnt exhaust valve (these engines are famous for bad exhaust valves). But then i noticed there is oil in the coolant. So NOW im left thinking a leaking head gasket.
What kind of advice can ya guys give me? Ive got a spare head in my house for a D15 that i can put in (not rebuilt, but functional).
Do u think that a leaking HG can cause compression to be THAT low?
Car has 350K on it. Mite as well do the timing belt while im in there too eh?

350k and its never had a timing belt replacement?!? Damn Honda's are awesome
You could swap in the other head if its known to be functional. But first, I would have a leakdown test performed, that will help pinpoint the issue
