Default Determining Coolant Level in 2003 LX

My owners manual says that I'm suppose to check the coolant level whenever I refill the gas tank. How am I suppose to determine the coolant level when the coolant tank is inside the engine? It seems mighty hard to read the side of tank.

Try illuminating the situation with a light source.

ya just took in the overflow tank and look for a shaddow in the tank, tho sometimes you need to pull the overflow tank cap and look because after awhile dirt builds up on the inside of the tank. but NEVER take the radiator cap off the car when its hot. its typicaly best to check the fluid when the motor is cold. no risks of burning your face off

If you have experienced an overheating problem, take the radiator cap off and check in there too. It should be full to the top. The engine must be stone cold to do that safely and without spilling any.
