Do I need to change my coolant ??
or just put something for the coolent to drain into under the radiator and at the bottom near the center there is this little tab that you can unscrew, Also remove the radiator cap and let all the coolant out and just walk away for like 30 mins and come back and put the plastic screw back in and refill it back up with coolent/water. 50/50mix until it is just below the radiator cap and start the car with the radiator cap off and let it bleed all the trapped air out and the level should go down. Then refill it back up and put on the radiator cap and check for any leaks. If not, then you are good to go.
hope this helps

^not a bad idea, except the coolant in your engine block, heater hoses, and heater core will not be flushed. That is why i recommended finding a shop with a coolant flush machine.
i've just pulled the plug on the bottom and put a water hose in the top of the radiator. flushed it out, then took the thermostat and flushed out in there even more. replaced the thermostat and filled it with 50/50 coolant. worked for me on my 87 accord when i had it.
