It wears it out faster, it just made my car shift crappy.

if you had a problem with it, it was likely driver error. you have to match the sped of the shift with the speed of the clutch, and so if a short shifter makes the shift faster, then the clutch foot has to follow suit. if you drive it right, it wont put any more wear and tear on the trans. though it does make it a lot easier to grind the synchros.

hey sniper i have an extra short throw shifter down here if your *** ever wants to come to the bayou a pick it up. i'll let it go for half a case......[sm=icon_cheers.gif] what broke on yours? the bearing?

I broke mine the other day coming down off of a lift so I need to get a new one. I'll do a DIY on it.
lol, who was it that said they wouldn't ever break? (Sniper or Forty?) They said they used it to hold up their car, so they knew that a SS would never break.

Make sure you get a solid steel shifter. A few of my buddies have broken theirs.
