Default does anyone posess...........

if anyone in or near modesto have obd1/2 or any other machine/device that 40 bucks will cover inorder for owner of device to figure out why check engine light is on.

If you are just looking at having the codes read, Autozone will do it for free.

Here is a $10 to $20 solution. In my area of CA, Autozone doesn't do scans anymore. Midas did free scans about 10 yrs ago and may still do it.

you could always just jump the troubleshooting connector behind the ecu, and count the blinks. costs a piece of wire. not sure if they still have those, depending on the car.
