Warm water doesn't hurt anything. Sometimes if I'm in a hurry and I know that the windshield will be iced over I just bring a cup or warm water and pour it on there. I don't think I'd use hot hot water, but warm water works well for a lot of things. Even cold water would work I bet, I don't even let the water get all the way hot, just like room temp, maybe a little more, I'm afraid the glass will crack if I pour really hot water on it.

warm water may not hurt. but hot water does.

my dad's friend had a nice MB and his wife used to always put hot water on his windshield in the morning's because she was too lazy to thaw out the windows.

sure enough, KRACK!!1 lol.

did you know that MB windows are expensive to replace? lol.

that's why i stopped using the water trick and just bought a really nice scraper. now if i could just find it...

Yeah I couldn't find mine either.... or anyone willing to scrape for me. Sometimes that window washer stuff that as the special anti freeze stuff in it works.... but not as good as a garage..... oh I MISS MY GARAGE.... my car was always warm and never icy [sm=boohoo.gif]
