Default Door Locks on 2007 EX

I have had my car for about 6 months now and the only thing I really don't like is the way the door locks function. They automatically lock when the car comes up to speed and the doors have to be manually unlocked when the vehicle stops. It is really a pain with a 4-door. In my ideal world, the doors would unlock when the vehicle comes to a stop. Short of that, I would be OK with having control from the drivers seat. Can the system be adapted to my requirements?

Viper has alarm systems that can work the door locks like u mentioned. i just had the Viper Model 5002 installed and when i start the car, it locks the doors, when i turn the car off, it unlocks the doors. i never lock or unlock my doors manually now that it does that and also have the 2-way LCD remote. it'll cost a pretty penny but it'll do what u want and then some, not to mention having a pretty damn good alarm system.

I have an 07 EX coupe and my doors lock when I start moving, then unlock when I turn off the car.

Do you mean everytime the car comes to a stop or when you put the car in park, not just when you turn the car off?

I feel like an idiot, all was explained in the owners manual. That is what happens when you have driven German autos for too long.

Does it do this with manual locks? If it's power locks, is it really that hard to HIT A BUTTON to unlock when you want to get out? The mfr probably made the locks that way for keeping people safer at speed, and to help make carjacking a little more difficult when you're stopped at a lightoridling in "P".
