engine acceleration
95 honda civic dx stock when i start it it idles fine but when i press down on the gas it feels like it wants to die out. i have to let it warm up and then press the gas pedal slowly before i drive it now.the problem seem to be getting worst. now it does it when i drive it. can anyone help me.
Hvae you done the basics? Oil change, tune up, etc?? One thing you might want to try before all else, is SeaFoam. Use the Search feature at the top of the page to search for seafoam (or sea foam, dont remember if its one word or two) and you will find a DIY on how to use it. It's fairly simple, and will more than likely help
Thank you for your help. well this is the update on what is happening now i went a head and did a tune up just for the sake of ruling that out. i changed the wires ,plugs, cap and the rotor. everything else seem to be fine i have never got a (check engine light). i even gap the plugs which i have never done that before becaause i was told that the plugs are pregaped. i turned on the car and it started fine did not do the problem i test drove it and it ran fine. so i came home parked and then went out to start it again and still fine. so i got on the fwy and it died out. no warning just turned off. not funny shaking or noises. got it towed home and started to check it out it seem to have fuel. and it turned over fine but no start. the main relay seem fine. so i checked the spark and no spark this seem weird to me because i change the distribtor over a year ago. well it was a rebuilt dist so maybe they are not that reliable. well i am going to changr the dist today and see if it helps. if you can help me think of something to help me please let me know.
