Engine - Error Code 13
Hey guys,
Been racking my brains over my car. It just conks out if I'm driving, and then after it won't start and sometimes it will start.
Anyway I ran the 2 jumpers together to see if i get any error codes. I got error code 13: "BARO Sensor (Atmospheric Pressure) defective circuit or unplugged / defective sensor".
Is this the reason my car is turning off?
Thanks

Reset the ECU and determine whether the same code is thrown again before troubleshooting the sensor.
When the engine won' t start, listen for whether the fuel pump primes for a few seconds when the ignition key is turned to ON without cranking engine, and also check for spark at all four plugs.

Thanks for your reply Ron,
After I got this code, I did reset the ECU by unplugging the battery. After this though, the on II position of the key doesn't show lights on the dash board anymore lol Anyway, I don't think I can hear any fuel pump and yesterday I literally put brand new plugs in. The old ones were terrible but still same problem. I can kinda bet on it that it's the fuel pump.
What kinda noise amI listening for?
Cheers

Yeah, charge the battery and also clean and tighten the battery connectors as suggested by mk.
By the way, an easier way to reset the ECU in the future is to pull out the 7.5A BACKUP fuse in the under-hood fuse box for 30 seconds or so; then re-insert it.

Think I found my problem... I have a Clifford alarm system with the Remote Start feature. The car does not start with the key ingition but starts with the remote button. I was told these Clifford systems are a nightmare and that I should have it removed.
"The remote start feature is a no-go, it just doesn't work. Its supposed to keep the engine running when you exit the car but it probably manages to do it 1 in every 10 times.. the rest of the time its too slow and the engine cuts out. When trying to remote start it just keeps the starter going as it doesnt pickup the engine is running. Me and my mate had the same problem with it "
Still no lights on the dash board though. Maybe I shortened something out whilst jumping the ECU cables, hmmm!
