I have a 03 civic lx with 190,000 miles... Engine oil light started flickering and son pulled over right away... Added oil(to much) and now there is a knocking noise when you step on gas and the engine wants to stall... Let it sit fir a while and it seems to be idling fine but still ha
s knock... Any help would be ap preciate ... Thank you 1.7L non v tech

 

Has he checked the spark plugs and wires?

Did he drain out the excess oil?
