Question Engine noise when cold

I have a 1997 Honda Del Sol 5 speed Si (SOHC Vtech). The engine makes a noise when it is cold almost like a low pitched whining (almost like gear noise). Turning the wheel left to right makes no difference. The sound exists whether the car is moving or stopped. I changed all the accessory belts 3 days ago. The engine sounds normal once warmed up. Any thoughts?

Additional maintenance done this week:
Coolant changed
Gear oil replaced with Honda MTF
Oil and Filter changed
Clutch flushed
Brake Fluid Flushed
Power-steering level checked

I don't think any of this stuff is related but I thought I would mention all that has been done.

Try to localize the noise. Might be a bad bearing in the idler pulley, power steering pump, alternator, or even water pump.

I did a search and it recommended using a long piece of tubing. I just got this car a week ago and am still familiarizing myself with it.

Yeah, a piece of garden hose-sized tubing will help localize the noise. The idler pulley is connected to the A/C compressor belt.
