sounds like the coolant is low. open the radiator while the car is cool, and running. so start it, then first thing, before it heats up at all, get out and open the rad. then let it run until the thermo opens, then keep pouring water in till it wont take any more. then let it idle with the cap off and see if any bubbles come up, then just keep topping it off for about 5 minutes. make sure you dont have any bubbles. then try to find where youre losing coolant.

Checked the rad, the coolant is coming out from the bottom, in a little spray- what am I looking at for damages here?
Thanks for the input!
Steve

is it for sure coming from the rad itself, or maybe from a hose connection? if its a hose (hopefully) it will be like 30-50 bucks for a Honda hose. if its the rad, check ebay, you can get them pretty cheap. i got a stock used one for like 40 bucks there awhile ago.heres one.

heres another.

with all the post I see about "rice", or "look at this idiot", and "I smoked this Corolla yesterday"... its good to see someone getting some great advice. Gives a good name to HCF. Good Job as always Sacicons

Wooz, good luck... I hope its just a hose and not the radiator man.

I just got myself the same problem...found a metal rod stuck in the rad...on I-95 in the middle of nowhere. I just epoxied it temporarily. Going to look for a used rad tomorrow.
