Default Engine Swap

They sent me a VTEC engine for a 1994 Civic with a 1.5...instead of trying to find another engine for this...can I just put on the VTEC distributor on this engine and leave the VTEC controller off?

Will it run?

The car is original NON-VTEC with a NON-VTEC Computer.

If this did not make sense let me help

Car: 1994 Civic 1.5 NON-VTEC, Spun Bearing

Engine: 1994 VTEC Engine 1.5

So can this work without having to buy a computer?

The engine will opperate in the same manner as the one you previously had. The vtec option just wont kick in. You can get a p28 ecu and wire up your vtec later if wanted. Theres plenty of info on the adding vtec procedure.

Thank you sooo much

I thought it may work cause EVERYTHING bolted right up except for the VTEC connections (Of COurse) and the Distributor!
