as you can tell im far from decided. can these motors even be swapped into my car? if so wich ones? (indicate by last 5 numbers on url) and i also want some opinions on which one i should. i have a few more questions. the first one i probobly already know is a no but can i use my intake and pulleys with these? the next question is when shopping for parts for these motors what kind of car should i shop under. the last question is, im definately not capable of doing this swap myself, so where could i go to get this done. (note that i live in gary indiana where there are no garages) thnx guys i hope to get some good opinions on what to do.

Default RE: engine swap

Usually you would want to instal an engine by the year of car it came from, if you put other engines in it can get pricey and you can get some clearence issues. Personally I wouldnt reccomend swapping an engine from a newer model of a civic. Some shops in my town wont even do an engine swap if its complicated, involving spotting new engine mounts and redoing wiring harnesses and what not. But all of that is just my opinion.

ONLY the k-series motors will fit. nothing else can be swapped in.

It's going to require a fair amount of work and cash. More info here
