Default Engine Swap

What would it take to bolt this engine into my 90 Civic 4 speed.

96-00 HONDA CIVIC ENGINE 1.5L SOHC LOW MILES MOTOR JDM D15B
JDM 96-00 Honda Civic D15B 1.5L SOHC OBD2 Non Vtec Engine.

This engine was taken out of a running car in Japan and imported to North America.

What you see is what you get. This is the actual item. Serial # 2813067. Mileage is between 40 to 45 Thousand Miles.

I know I would need to find a way of hooking up a hydrolic clutch and find a ODB2 computer to hook it up to.

Just at that price for both engine and transmision ......

Much simpler to use your existing computer, intake, exhaust, distributor, transmission and clutch. You would install just the engine block and head assembly.

Converting to MPFI (usually with an OBD1 computer) offers slightly higher performance. You could come back and do that later.

It might be worth converting to hydraulic clutch to get a 5 speed. Again you could come back and do that later.

Looking for fuel efficiency not performance so much. I was more worried about the engine mounts etc...
I deliver pizza right now and current vehicle only gets 22 mpg.

Couldn't I just switch the parts related to operating the clutch from the old transmission.

No, the casting is different. The mechanism is entirely different.

There's a chance it may be possible to take the shafts and gears out of the 5 speed and put them in the case you have to build a 5 speed-- never looked at that closely.

In city driving a 4 speed is fine.

Any tutorial on converting the hydraulic clutch? Have a little more money that I thought I would and a little worried about this trans after I drained it and it only had about half a quart in it.
