i was wondering if there is a fan switch or if its a relay that turns the fan on. my car is overheating and its because my fan isnt turning on. so what do i need to replace? its a 91 dx hb w/ a 93 ls

there is a fan switch on the thermostat housing that might be going bad, there should also be a relay for the fan in the underhood fuse box,

the first thing i would check is the fan, make sure it will spin, and if it does, then hook it directly up to a 12 v source and see if it turns on, if it does then check the relay, if thats good, check the switch for continuity when its hot, and if that works, check the continuity of all the wires and connections
