I have a 2001 civic and have a flat tire but can not get the lug nuts off. Would it be ok to use fix a flat or quick spare on this civic ? some reviews of it say it works great but others say it can ruin the tire sensor. as long as it doesn't hurt the sensor as long as i can get it to the dealer or pep boys would be great

 

Use a small compressor to fill the tire with plain air, then go to a garage to have them remove it and find the leak.

 

Anyone know the cheapest air pump that will work on a flat? Time is not much of an issue but money is, a hand pump if it works would be fine

 

2001 Civics have tpms? I thought that was intro'd in 2006

 

Nope found out it doesn't but still not sure that fix o flat will work. The dealer told me that it wont unless it is a slow leak

I got a pump from Wallmart about 3 years ago fo I think was about $12.00 . Its powered by the cigg. lighter, takes about 4- 6 minutes to inflate tire. I use it to keep my tires at the correct presure and inflate them when I have a leaky tire. I have not looked latey, I did a quick online look but did not see the one I have. Go to Walmart and see what they have. I hate tow fees, I 'm lucky my buddy drives a tow truck and I get a deal if I need towed. I hope this helps. Good Luck with your tire. 2010civiclx

 

Yes for a few years I've owned the smallest electric pump that walmart sells, and it's entirely suitable for the purpose.

The nicer stand-up hand pumps for bicycles can fill a car tire but it takes a long time and they cost more than the small electric pump.

 

My neighbor had an air pump, then i took it to pep boys and they replaced the tire
