Default foglight problem

hey guys ive got oem style fogs on my 98 civic i installed them back in january. for some reason the driver side foglight always goes out. it really sucks cuz i just installed a 65 dollar set of foglight bulbs and 1 is out already. its been less than a week!!could there be a problem with the connections? the wires on that side look kinda tore up but theres no exposed wires. the connectors look kinda beat up also?

ok thanks guys btw if u guys were wondering what kinda foglight bulbs were 65 bucks, they were PIAA plasma yellow and they looked amazing!

DID YOU TOUCH THE BULB...... IM SURE YOU DID [8D] just a price you learned the hard way.....

thats the problem. with headlight and fog light bulbs if you touch the bulb with your hands the oil will create a hot spot and the bulb will blow really fast!!!!!

when instaling them wear some new cloth gloves or some new rubber gloves..... and try not to touch the bulbs at all or touch them to anything either...

did it blow the stock bulb or just the new bulb? if it just blew then the bulb might be to hot.... pulling to much power and melting the wiring.... you should replace the wiring then.

Your "tore up wires" Replace them and get yourself a GOOD ground. If the ground wire is disrupted in any way, corrosion will create resistance.....prematurely burning out your bulb.

If the bulbs you are buying are the "ebay" ones there's your problem. I have never gotten an ebay Headlight or foglight bulb to last longer then 7-10 days...cheap crap.
