First off, that sticker only applies to stock wheels and tires. Aftermarket low-profile tires require more pressure, usually a lot more. Consult with your tire dealer.
Assuming you have stock tires, you'd get better gas mileage with more pressure, up to the maximum marked on the tire (usually 35 psi). But you are likely to lose some traction doing that.
