Front Radar Sensor Got Bumped - Dang It!
Howdy all -
I managed to forget I hadn't put my 2020 Honda Civic Hatchback into park after a long night at work - and didn't have the brake lock activated as there was zero traffic late at night. Got distracted by something unimportant on my phone, and let my foot off the brake and rolled into brick wall 3-4 feet away. The unfortunate thing is that 2 inches of plastic right above the license plate cracked and broke off - so it will be a hard sell to say nothing happened at the dealership. I'm so mad at myself for this stupid lapse of attention that I'm considering driving the car for the rest of it's life without the sensor. But the dashboard panel is completely dominated by the three alternating warning lights that show the problem with the ACC, collision mitigation, and LKAS?. Also - adding fuel to the fire is that the Maintenance needed soon (15K) is also popping up.
Two questions - can we turn those warnings off ourselves? Any thoughts about how to broach the subject at the dealership? Thanks so much!
