Gas Smell in Air Vents. How to change fuel filter?

The car smells like gas and when i turn on my A/C i can smell it coming though the vents.
It sounds like a leak to me, however i seem to be getting about 29mpg.

Should I change the fuel filter?
i saw a how to when i was looking through other posts but now i cannot find it.

Don't drive a car with a fuel leak, even a small leak makes it very likely to catch on fire. Look under the hood and find the leak, and repair accordingly.

the fuel filter is right on the firewall near the battery, you just unbolt, remove the line, replace and ur done, its not hard at all, but i dont think thats your problome

I smelled gas through air vents when I bashed my fuel rail with my knuckle while adjusting valve lash. I checked and there was no gas spraying in my engine bay, but one of the injectors was turned slightly, so I adjusted it and havnt had the smell since. prolly wont help you, but just putting it out there.

Thanks...

If its leaking into the A/c where could it be leaking from?

The vapor is just coming into the vents when the recirc is off. Check the fuel line connections around the fuel filter and injectors and the vacuum/vent hoses on the evap canister.

Vapors from anywhere under the hood will get sucked into the A/C. The A/C takes in air through the little grille below the windshield.
