hey. the speedo jumps and while the car is jacked and in gear i could go to the rotor and stop it with my foot. also while still jacked up and motor is off from shifter i can put it in gear and the rotor will not spin it will only spin while in neutral. Also here is a pic of the clutch with the tool in it and here is a lil vid of me spinning my main and watch how the diff spins. My tranny is good....

well slide a axle in there and then try to turn it and see if you can stop the axle by hand as easy.
you know the syncros catch before the gears do so it might just be catching the syncros and not the gears fully.
is it a 92-95 civic? ive heard that those older trannys the forks can bend and break internally which controls the shifting. thats what i would think the problem is most likely. if you have the tranny out you can always take it to a tranny shop and ask them how much for them to pull it apart and check it out.... at least if you dont wanna buy another tranny just incase its fine.
its at least worth a phone call to your local transmission shop. worst case scenario you spend some cash on them to inspect the tanny or maybe just go there and talk to them face to face. they are the tranny experts and deal with these problems all the time so who knows you might just talk to them and they might know the typical issue causing your problem without touching it!

ive never had any problem other than worn syncros and i just babied them. never had a problem with a clutch swap.

this tranny is a 2000 si tranny. this tranny has never grinded a gear on me. Its always had royal purple and shifts like butter. It came off the car and put back on a week later. thats all. I dont see how it can be the tranny but i will call them tomorrow.

called act and fidanza explaining to them about my issue and both said that a flywheel may cause that problem if it has been resurfaced multiple times. so i got the matching fidanza flywheel that goes with my second clutch that i will be trying tomorrow.

With the tires on, and wheels on the ground, does the speedometer go up when you try to drive?

I never test-drove my car in midair before, it seems rather pointless.

Congrats on a successful repair.

I was pretty sure 2 days ago when you said you could stall the engine by pushing the brake, that would mean that the car should be able to go if you just had the nerve to put it on the ground and try it. But I wasn't saying anything then because I was not playing along any more-- after it took you 14 hours to (rudely) confirm that the axles were all the way in and you never answered my question about the speedometer from the first day.

Anyway no hard feelings.
