Default half shaft problems

Hi everyone,

Last night i replaced my passenger side half shaft on my 97 civic dx. I had been hearing alot of clunking noise from it and the boot was torn completely arond the cv joint. everything went fine untill the test drive. i drove the car about a half mile and went to turn around when the transmission quit turning the wheel. I had to have it towed back to my house. Any help would be great! Thanks

Sounds like the new one wasn't pushed all the way into the transmission until it locks. A common problem. Also check that you have the lock ring on the end of the new one.
