harsh kickdown?
93 civic ex 1.6L with auto trans
if you floor it in any gear above 1st, it will kick down and when it does it is very rough. i can almost feel being pushed forward before the engine winds up. is this a sign of a bad motor mount or is this just a characteristic of this car? i know all the shifts are nice and firm but i'm not sure if this is the nature of the beast. if this is a bad mount, which one is it likely to be? thanks

RE: harsh kickdown?
and i havethis knock that seems to be worse when the engine is completly warmed up. it's worrying me big time that it might be a rod knock but i don't know how that's possible since it's never been low on oil
the knock is most audible between 2-3k under no load. if i am accelarating hard or decellarating hard then i don't hear the noise.
