Default Head Porting

So ive decided I want to have my head ported and polished. Though I have no experience in how this is done what-so-ever. I am looking to learn doing a lot of "googling" at the moment but i just wondered if any of you guys had or knew of any good resources, or methods. Such as tools used, would you DIY this or take it to a shop, etc.

The usual over opinionated and under informative comments are always welcome

Take it to a shop. You need special tools to get this done.

I work for an auto parts store. Most people do not own an air compressor or dremel tool, therefore I label them as "special" tools. Next time I will clarify.

Well, i have read a lot about it im just looking for the thread i found that had A LOT of useful links...

All i need is 2 heads, one to play with, and if so throw away...

You never know if you can do something until you try...

For those "if your a noob, don't do it comments" How many things have you tried that you have never done before???

EDIT: Found the link, good reading, if you have the time.... http://www.d-series.org/forums/showthread.php?t=2376

EDIT2: I think i will try this i dont agree with everything he suggests but a nice guideline with pics haha

Plenty. But in this case, I never had 2 heads or intake manifolds to fool around with.

make sure you flow test them before and after, might be kind of hard to find flow numbers floating around
