Default help with oil leak

Hi all..I just bought my daugher her first car...a 1993 honda civic with 76,000 miles...one owner...
When I got it home i noticed oil leaking on the front of the engine...
any ideas what it can be??

welcome to the forum jcolemen. first off, our help will be only as good as your explanation. From what I have read, when you say the front of the engine, what exactly do you mean? Is it where the spark plug wires are and where you pour in the oil? That would be the valve cover and you might just be needing a new gasket and make sure not to overtighten those small bolts.

We need in other words, more detail. a picture would be very helpful.
