The VIN indicates that your Civic is a 1998 4-door EX sedan with a 5-speed manual transmission. The secondary O2 sensor was probably removed with the catalytic converter.

Click the CEL link in my signature. It will help you locate the service connector. It is located behind the front passenger kick panel. Remove this panel and the 2P connector will be found above the ECU. It branches from the main wire harness.

thank`s brou.

I search the 2P connector and I found it in the fuse box in the driver side behind the blue conector.

I made a conection between the 2 cables, brown and black and the CEL come on.

I check the timing with the timing gun and I move it just a little bit less than 1 mm and i put in the middle of the 3 lines.

then I check the time without the 2p conection and the time is the same.

I still feel sometimes poor of power and like a misfire.

my car not have second o2 sensor because when I buy the car had catalytic converter and I eliminate the catalytic and don`t have the secondary o2 sensor, I put a test pipe.

what I should do now to fix or check?

thank`s a lot friends....

Can you upload a video of the idle and problem? That usually helps a diagnosis, it's hard to suggest answers to people when they haven't seen the problem firsthand.

hi friend´s.

the idle is fine.

today I check the resistance of the ignition coil of my 98 civic d16y8. my car only have 71.000 km.

my coil is TEC.

the primary winding resistance in the repair manual say:

0,63 - 0,77 ohm

I check mine with a digital multimeter and the resistance is 0,12.

can this make my car sometime poor or power or hesitaste sometimes??

the secondary winding resistance is good.

should I replace the coil?

what brand are good to buy one?

the accel one 11076 is better than the oem?

thank`s for help... happy day.
