Help! Where is the oil dipstick?

Default Help! Where is the oil dipstick?

i have a 97 civic ex and i cannot find the oil dipstick anywhere!!!! it is driving me crazy. please help me out

Should be right on the front center of the engine. It's just a wire with a loop on the top, it isn't labelled "oil" or anything. It goes down between the #2 and #3 ports on the exhaust manifold. There is a hole in the heat shield for it. If your dipsitck has been lost, you can look down there and see the tube where it goes.

look for the big *** orange pull stick just to the right of the exhaust manifold (with the stamped metal heat shield covering it) coming out of the front of your engine...

Do you see the tube for it? You should be able to hit an auto parts store (or a junk yard for that matter) and get one really cheap. It's pretty important to have one, believe it or not (ask Remmy)

^^ agreed, if its not there...there should be an open tube sticking up somewhere.

Lol yeah on the camaro i had, i would lose about a quart of oil a week, then i bought a dipstick, and problem gone

How did you know the oil level was dropping if you didn't have a dipstick?
