ya EG just means a basic 92-95 civic. mine was a 94 EX

im actually shocked that my 96 dx doesnt have that hole. i thought about cutting it out to fit a cold air intake like my 99 ex civic had BUT the DX air intake aftermarket still looks bad.LOL so ive decided to stick with the lame stock air box.

I'm pretty sure that the ex is the only trim level that has the hole. I know my cx didn't have it and it seems like every picture i have seen of any dx didn't either.
