Honda Civic Saga '98 Oil meter
Hey all,
Well, I'm new to cars (and to the forum
)
And I knew from the start I wanted a honda so I went looking for my first car and I stumbled upon a slightly tuned Honda Civic Saga from '98.
Ofcourse I wanted a newer Honda Civic but hey.. its a 1st car so that shiny one can wait till I have a few years of experience. So from now on i'm going to deepen myself into the world of cars.
The thing is now I've found a first problem while driving this car that I have bought for nearly over 2 weeks ago. The oil meter.
I dident notice it from the 1st day if it was allready like that but when I drive the car with A/C on the oil meter hardly rises. When I turn A/C of allmost straight after I see it slowly rising but allmost never reaches the middle. Even after a fair distance of driving. I checked under the hood to see if there is enough oil and all but seemed fine.
Any things more I could check? Or do u know what might be going on?
I'm still pretty new at all this and before going to the garage I rather see for myself first so that I know what i'm talking about once i get there.
Happy x-mas from Belgium!

Yngwie, welcome to the forum. I'm not very familiar with the Saga version of the civic. I would think that the first place to look for is an oil level sensor of some sort. Here in North America, some civics did not come with this oil meter, at least my LX version did not. Perhaps others here with different versions of the civic can chime in and help you.
