OK i have ben building engines for a long time and have spent moast of my time around small and big block v 8s but im not against new things, so when i recently picked up a 90 civic dx hatch back i decided after roasting the tranny and engine that i dident want the stock 1.5 in it, i recently bought a 92 acura integra 1.8 b18a1 for cheep. now i am in over my headlol. im uste to haveing an engine that runs off of 3 wires not 300 lol. i have no sweet idea what to do and i have ben allover the place trying to figure this out. i have ben on hybridcivic.com and on hasport.com trying to get tec but htey keep talking about outher things i dont know about. what do i need to do and what should i know or have? pleas help!

 

is your civic EFI?

 

no it is dual point inject, the 1.8 is tho

 

ok i now know a few things i need, a friend of mine toald me that i need to add only like 4 wires but i have no clue what ones, i figure it is for the injection systim. also i dont know where to run them or if i have to re map my ecm in order to do it either

 

Have you thrown it in the aby yet? If not you are probably going to need motor mounts and harness adapters and a different ecu.



Lol this reminds me of the time this one dude came on here and some how pulled his engine out and was going to put another in but had no idea what he was doing lol. He didnt make sense either so we couldnt really help him out Do you remember that sac? It was like 2 months ago.

lol yea i bet this dose, but there is a dif, i havent riped out the engines from either car. bout cars are compleet and run (well the civic dont move lol) and yea i dont realy know what im gettin into to. i sapose thats y i came hear lol. i am makeing my oune mounts, so now i need to know what elts i may need to do, i can conger up about anything so it isent a prob to do, that is the best thing about liveing in but f#ck, you lern how to make your oune ****. if you could just let me know what i need to do for the wireing it would be great. i am not sour what elts to tell ya [sm=smiley22.gif]
