Hood Lack Issues HELP!!
So, I think so a$$ clown backed into my hood. I park on the street so my baby is not safe.
Either way. I have been having trouble keeping my hood latched.
Inside the car, the hood release doesn't spring back like it once did. I pull it and I have to push it back, but it doesn't stay all the way back, it stays out a little.
I tried adjusting the hood latch itself but that doesn't seem to be the issue,
ANY SUGGESTIONS?!

I kind of had the same problem, I replaced the latch and the cable and it fixed it. the latch I had was all dented up, when I replaced it I still had to push back on the release like you are describing. Then I replaced the cable and it is good now. If someone backed into you it probably damaged the latch, so that might just be what the problem is, but depending on how much damage there was it is possible that the cable got stretched also. I got the parts for cheap on ebay. Can you get the hood to latch at all?

Yeah it latches sometimes. I'll latch it and I'll be able to pull up on the hood and it unlatches. Or I'll be on the highway and it un latches but the safety keeps it from flying up.
Wow, yeah that is not cool. try not to push down to hard on the hood also, I dented my hood doing that. Although it is cheap aftermarket crap. I dont know man, it is hard to determine if a hood latch cable is stretched unless when you pull the release and the handle doesnt retract, that usually is a good indication that it is stretched. But I would deffinantly replace that latch. It sounds like that is your main problem. Your hood wouldnt just open from a stretched cable.
